About Moosjer

This is Moosjer. A man born between the trenches, with the smell of mustard gas still faint in his memory, five minutes past midnight after a scorching summer.

Lieven Cardoen is someone who always seeks connection. In his work, no longer just as the technical specialist, but as the team lead who sees the human behind the computer. And in his music as the translator of emotions. He navigates through all this with a touch of Asperger's and a great gratitude for every obstacle on his path.

Music is not a hobby for him, but a way of life. He lives by the rule that mastery requires 10,000 hours. Hours that he has lovingly poured into his guitar and, for the last seven years, also into the piano. Where others talk, Moosjer paints with sounds.

As "Moosjer" – West Flemish for experimenting and growing – he gives space to the inner child. The songs come to him as visions. With the technical baggage of De Poel and the soul of a blues musician, he makes music that touches. Raw, honest, and human.
